Agrotourism and Ecotourism accommodation

Whereingreece.com has successfully completed one year online. We have invested most of the time during this first year in order to very carefully hand-pick a selection of 217 accommodation providers in many different areas of Greece, and 62 companies, offering a very wide range of travels services, such as sport tourism, gastronomy, alternative activities, etc. (which we will feature in a coming article).

Coming to accommodation first, we are proud to say that within our portal one can find a very wide range of accommodation providers, able to meet the needs of different travelers. For travelers that are looking for a different, more eco-friendly approach to their holiday, we have a selection of Agrotourism and Ecotourism accommodation. The Agrotourism accommodations we offer are either located in agricultural farms, or ranches, or simply in areas where Agricultural tasks are performed. Visitors can learn first hand about the production process of different agricultural products and can also help with the daily agricultural tasks. The Ecotourism accommodation that we offer is mainly located in natural and/or protected areas, consequently it is low scale and aims in educating the travelers and provide direct benefits to the local communities.  Both Agrotourism and Ecotourism accommodation that one can find within our portal meet very high standards of services and quality.

The next selection of accommodation is the Traditional Accommodation providers. This type of accommodation is accommodation that meets traditional architectural and operational standards. Our Aim

Our aim is to raise awareness for the eco-friendly and alternative forms of travel and tourism activity in Greece.  The trends are changing and with them tourists` preferences are also changing, as travelers want to be involved in more stimulating activities during their stay, from just working on their tan…(not that there is something wrong with that, as within our portal one can also find traditional travel services suppliers).

We actively want to promote the more eco-friendly, active and alternative forms of travel and we co-operate with a large selection of quality travel and tourism service providers from the categories of Agrotourism, Ecotourism, Sports Tourism, Gastronomy, Trekking and Diving and we want to show to the public globally the rich and diverse options that are on offer in Greece.

Our portal was created so that it can offer accurate, up to date information to anyone and everyone who is interested to learn about Greece, visit Greece, or just find quality travel and tourism services suppliers in Greece.
